After being a New Englander my whole life, I finally made it to Vermont. Well we won't count that time growing up when my mother and I got lost coming home from Story Land. This was a beautiful ride up Rte 89 from New Hampshire heading to Burlington, VT. Stunning views of the countryside with a backdrop of mountains filled our views.

We all love to travel...correct? Yes, we do, but sometimes there are those places that you may not have the opportunity to see in person. For me that may be Antarctica. At least not anytime soon. So this fall my family is headed to VT, possibly upstate NY in the same trip and I need your help. Maybe you are from the area or have been there for a visit. My husband, my 11 y/o son, and myself are into movies, sports, history, and nature so any tips in those categories would be awesome. We are definitely hitting the Ben & Jerry's factory for some ice cream. That is a total must! What else is Vermont famous for?Teddy bears? Cheese? There must be some beautiful waterfalls or quaint little towns with unique shops. It seems like I am pointing us in the direction of Burlington, VT hoping to cross over into upstate NY as well.
